I had a fantastic stay at First Mirissa! The location was ideal, just a short walk from the beautiful beach and close to great restaurants. The hostel had a relaxed atmosphere and I loved the communal area where I could socialize with other guests. The kitchen was well-equipped and clean. Although the rooms were basic, they were clean and comfortable. The hostel also offered plenty of activities to meet new people. I highly recommend this hostel for a budget-friendly and enjoyable stay.
That the rooms could get quite hot, especially in the summer months. Additionally, the Wi-Fi in the rooms was unreliable, but worked well in the communal areas.

I was excited to visit the stunning Secret Beach in Mirissa and chose First for its convenient location near the beach. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the laundry facilities provided by the hostel. It was convenient to have access to such amenities while traveling. Additionally, the dining area attached to the dormitory bed was a great feature, allowing me to enjoy meals in a comfortable setting.
Poor bathroom-kitchen layout.

Close to beach, ATM's, supermarket, and restaurants. Clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Common kitchen available for self-catering. Nice outside area with beanbags. Possibility of having breakfast with toast, jam, and fresh fruit. Easy access to cheap local eateries and hipster spots. Future plans for a lounge for hookah. Cute and obedient pet. Yoga classes available.
Felt like being home, no reason to complain.

Loved the shared kitchen, felt like a master chef. The garden with BBQ facilities was perfect for a fancy summer picnic. And the best part? Free Wi-Fi to share my classy moments on social media!
Mosquitoes loved my posh blood. How dare they interrupt my glamorous stay!

The rooms at Hostel First Mirissa were decorated beautifully, making us feel right at home. We stayed in a double room with a private entrance, and it had a charming tile/marble floor and a lovely attached bathroom. The room came with a private bathroom that had a hot shower, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Some rooms even had extra perks like linens, towels, and air conditioning, making our stay even more comfortable.
Personally, I found that some rooms lacked non-smoking options, but that's just my preference.

Title: Amazing Time!
If there was one thing we would've liked more of, it would be a livelier party atmosphere. As young party-goers, we were craving a bit more of that wild and energetic vibe.

Garden with barbecue facilities: The hostel's garden felt like a hidden paradise where I could grill up a storm. It was like having my own little tropical backyard, complete with palm trees and ocean breezes. Absolutely loved the relaxed vibes and delicious BBQs!
Noisy dorm room door.

I stayed at Hostel First Mirissa for 4 nights as a backpacker and it was one of the best hostels I've been to. The staff, especially the manager Manjo, were super friendly and created a cozy atmosphere. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The spacious and clean room was a great plus. The common kitchen was well-equipped and perfect for preparing your own food. They also have a lovely little walk to get to the beach.
Can recommend this hotel.
